Giant Fish in Malaysia


Berita terkini dan tergempar...kecoh satu kampung di jerantut feri Pahang....seorang nelayan sungai berjaya naikkan ikan gergasi iaitu ikan tapah seberat 60kg..kata beliau tak sia-sia dia pergi sungai hari ini ...nak lagi sempena tahun melawat pahang ni...dia berjaya meraih hasil yang lumayan ..heheh..apa-apa pun tahniah....pak cik kayo...















Ikan Tapah is a species of freshwater fish in the family of thorns Siluridae found in southern Asia from Pakistan to Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia. These fish are also reported in Afghanistan. City Tapah in Perak, Malaysia, named after the fish.

Tapah fish living in large rivers and lakes, with a muddy riverbed and the water running slowly. This fish is very moist and normal hiding in holes that are on the banks of rivers and canals or maintain themselves in the riverbed in search of food.

Ikan Tapah is a powerful predators eat. Food for adult fish including the smaller fish, crustaceans and molluscs, while young fish usually eat insects. Therefore, this fish is a fish pests, especially against other fish that are more valuable.

Tapah fish breed in the summer before the rainy season. Therefore, many catfish can be found in the summer
